Internet Marketing for Small Business
Small Business Marketing
Small Business Marketing : 7th Power Publishing interviewed Doug at A1 Small
Business Marketing and also contacted several of his clients. We
discovered why A1 Small Business Marketing is the
choice of savvy small business owners when they want to gain an advantage
in marketing their small
businesses.
Small Businesses looking for
internet marketing; marketing ideas and marketing tips to aid in the
development of marketing plans and the practical implementation of
marketing strategies to improve marketing their small business online are in the best of hands with the experts at A1 Small
Business Marketing.
Doug said, "The challenge that small most
business owners face is the need for proven marketing methods that
yield results. They simply don't have the deep pockets like
larger businesses that would enable them to launch and maintain the
typical "branding" type of small business marketing strategies. That
is not to say that such conventional approaches no longer work, - it is
simply that they are no longer affordable."
But what exactly is Marketing? Doug says that "Marketing is
EVERYTHING that a company does to create and improve successful
exchanges between the company and the consumer. Marketing is
EVERYTHING and Everything is MARKETING!"
Internet Marketing for Small Business
Internet Marketing for Small Business: How can a small business owner market their small business effectively
and affordably online? When you are in need of internet
marketing for small business, A1 Small Business Marketing is there to
help.
Marketing is EVERYTHING and everything is
MARKETING?
"There are four elements of marketing: reaching, reselling, retaining and recovering clients", says Doug. And every savvy small business owner today is fully aware of the great
need for internet marketing as a part of their overall small business
marketing strategy.
Internet marketing for small
business means marketing on a strict budget and expecting
measureable results within a clearly defined time frame.
We asked
Doug what the secret was for internet marketing for small business to be
successful. Here is his reply: "Well, it is simply NOT a
secret. Small business owners need a website developed that is
compliant, properly optimized for search engines, has really great content
and is designed in such a way that it will convert visitors into
customers. There is nothing secret about it, but it is not
easy.
There are three steps in the process: development, attraction & conversion.
Getting increased traffic to your website doesn't
make you any money. You have to convert that visitation, and that
requires qualified traffic (traffic that is a
part of your target audience) and the right mechanisms to generate a click
on the action button - whatever that is. What you want your visitors to do is your conversion point. Conversion does not have to equal a paid product or service, it could be
as simple as completing an online form for a free report.
Marketing Idea for Small Business
Marketing Idea for Small Business: Are you looking for some new marketing idea for your small
business? New may not be the answer. A good
marketing idea for small business is most likely one that has been used with success already.
Can you give our readers that are small business
owners a really great marketing idea? "Yes, I can. One of the
keys to being successful as a teacher and a consultant is to never be
afraid to repeat what you think would be obvious, so I will say this
again: It is easier to resell an existing client than to create a new
one.
The best idea I can offer to small business owners is
that they cultivate their own marketing ideas for reselling, upselling and
side selling their existing clients and turning them into regular
referrers."
The most practical thing that they can do is never
forget their target and get to know their target very well. They
must have a marketing idea that appeals to their target and have a method
for reaching their target with their message. This method will
differ greatly from one business to another. Not all fish are in the
same waters and they have different dietary favorites and feeding
habits. Marketing is like fishing. You've gotta' know where
the fish are and what they like to eat.
The most potentially
powerful advice I can offer is that small business owners learn to see
marketing as a process, and to develop a plan for generating leads. Ideas don't create results on their own, because sales are a result of a
trust relationship, and that takes time. Ideas can be developed into
a strategy, but they must be presented in such a way that the target does
not feel vulnerable when the offer is presented."
Small Business Marketing Plan
Small Business Marketing Plan: Do you help small business owners create their marketing plan? "Yes, and a good marketing plan is vital. I like to say it this way:
1) Have a Plan 2) Plan your Marketing and 3) Market your Plan. A
good marketing plan is not possible without good data and you can't get
good data without good research.
A small business marketing plan? You've probably heard, 'businesses
that fail to plan should plan on failing' or something similar, and I
agree with that statement unreservedly. There are lots of things
that are commonly said and generally accepted, however that are simply
wrong. One of those things, I'm convinced, is the assertion that
most small businesses fail because they were undercapitalized.
I
don't believe that statement is true. The truth is most small
business fail because they were undereducated. And the reason for
this 'under education' is simple: they did little or no research and did
not have a written marketing plan."
Doug has authored an ebooks
that covers the development and implementation of a marketing plan. You can purchase a copy from the online store at http://www.a1smallbusinessmarketing.com.
Marketing Small Business Online
Marketing Small Business Online: Looking for ways to begin marketing your small business online? A1 Small Business Marketing is there to
help.
Seeking to market your small business via the internet has many
potential traps. Most of what you will find on the internet that
promises grand returns is simply a scam. Do your due diligence to
research persons or companies that provide internet marketing for small
business owners before spending any money or ordering services.
Our best advice is that you try to contact them by phone. If they
do not answer the phone, then don't do business with them. You
should also ask for some references of small businesses that have already
used their services.
You will be particularly vulnerable if you decide to use the services of an off-shore company. Most of the scams are carried out by people outside of the U.S.A.
Small Business Marketing Strategy
Small Business Marketing Strategy: Every small business marketing strategy should be a targeted
small business marketing strategy. Marketing that is not
targeted to your specific demographic is like shooting an arrow in the air
with hopes that it will hit something, - and it won't.
Successfully marketing your small business mandates that you "target"
your audience.
Good small business marketing is not a matter of finding and
capitalizing on the newest trends. It is knowing your customers,
targeting your marketing towards them, and having a compelling message
that effects them emotionally.
Small Business Marketing Tip
Small Business Marketing Tip: "Need a great small business marketing tip? Here's one for you. Learn what I call "The Four C's of Small Business Marketing".
The Four C's of Small Business Marketing
- Consumer Confidence
- Customer Convenience
- Client Choices
- Constant Contact
Consumer confidence, when
rendered down to a single word is TRUST. TRUST is the single most
important factor that leads to a buying decision.
Ever hear of a "convenience store?" People make purchases in the U.S.A.
all of the time not because of price, but because of a customer
convenience. They will pay more for convenience. Tip:
never make it hard for someone to give you their money!
Offer
your clients choices. American consumers are consumed
with choices. Don't just offer your clients "vanilla." They
will go somewhere else to find those other choices if you don't have
them.
Keep in constant contact with your
customers. The easiest person to sell something to is someone who
already trusts you. Keep in touch with your existing clients and
sell to them!"
